FAQs

You can save around $100-$300 per year by switching to reusable period products!

Many menstrual products last longer than a person’s lifetime. It can take 500-800 years just for one sanitary pad to break down. This means that most menstrual products are ending up in landfills, and staying there!

Typically, reusable menstrual products’ lifespan spans from 5 to 10 years or even more. Keep in mind the lifespan varies depending on how well you maintain it and how often they are used.

Our underwear is designed to be cleaned like any other clothing item, however, but it’s important to follow some extra steps to make sure it lasts a long time.

Before adding to your regular laundry, rinse the underwear with cold water until it runs clear.

Then, wash them in a washing machine using a gentle cycle and mild detergent, and avoid using fabric softeners or bleach to maintain their effectiveness and longevity. Make sure to wash with like colors to avoid color crossing.

Allow your underwear to air dry or machine dry on low. If you choose to handwash your product, use a small amount of detergent made for washing clothes and make sure to rinse it thoroughly. Avoid concentrated soaps like Dr. Bronner’s or other hand and dish soaps, as these can leave behind residue that will make your underwear less effective.

No! Our underwear is made to completely replace pads and tampons, making your wallet and the earth happier.
